Energy Saving Products

Lighting
In most homes, lighting accounts for around 10-15 per cent of an electricity bill. Each energy saving recommended bulb can reduce your lighting costs by up to £7 a year and lasts up to 12 times longer than a traditional bulb. As well as saving you money on your electricity bill, they also help the environment by demanding less energy from the power stations, which means fewer climate-changing gases being released. |

Refrigeration
UK households spend £1.2 billion worth of electricity every year, just on refrigeration and freezing. This cost is so high because fridges and freezers are on the go all day, every day. So, if your fridge or freezer isn't energy saving, it's costing you around £35 a year more to run than an 'A' rated energy saving model. |

Laundry
90 per cent of homes in the UK have a washing machine and on average each machine does 274 cycles a year. Yet machines that waste large amounts of both electricity and water are still the norm in most homes. An A++ rated washing machine will save you up to a third of the cost to run than an inefficient one. |

Dishwashers
One in four households in the UK now has a dishwasher in their kitchen and on average these do 250 cycles per year. To run a cycle on an inefficient appliance costs around 11 pence but to run the same cycle on an energy saving machine will cost you only 6 pence. As well as halving the running costs, an energy saving dishwasher will also use less water than a comparable, but inefficient machine. |

High Efficiency Condensing Boilers
A heating system that uses a high efficiency condensing boiler with the correct heating controls can save you as much as 40 per cent on your fuel bills. As the average lifespan of a boiler is around 12 years, the investing in an inefficient boiler could prove very costly indeed.
